Hydraulic Press Technology: Pascal’s Principle
Pascal’s principle provides the basis for hydraulic technology, which uses fluid pressure to perform work. Hydraulic fluid is pumped from its source into a cylinder. The cylinder contains a piston that moves up and down inside it, depending on the position of an actuator (valve) that regulates the flow of fluid into or out of the cylinder.
